Riverside Investments BV is an investment company focusing on market opportunities based on new technologies. We are not a traditional investment company. Instead, we actively set up companies with a focus on new technologies for new markets. Often, the market is developed together with a product or service. That requires experimenting and testing ideas with potential customers to find the right fit. Having worked in electronics since the early 80s, we have seen the effects of Moore’s law inside and outside the field of electronics, for example in biotechnology (DNA sequencing), solar cells development and hard disks. Our ventures often profit from the opportunities Moore’s law creates. Our companies are built on these exponential developments, creating opportunities for new applications, more integration, better services and - in the end - more value.

The company developments included IC Design (Securealink, security IC’s), heating systems, smartcard and payment devices. Subsidiaries of Pijnenburg Beheer NV were Hagenuk, CPS Europe and The Third Screen.
